Serveral teams are keen on the goal sscoring German international

Timo Werner is one of Europe's in-form strikers and various clubs across the continent are interested in the RB Leipzig frontman.

Bild say Liverpool are best placed to sign the German international. Coach Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring him in given that in January and February of next season he will be without star attackers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who will take part in the African Cup of Nations for Egypt and Senegal respectively.

The European champions are keen to add another forward to their attack, with Xerdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi the current options in case of injuries, suspensions and rotations to the regular front three. Klopp brought in the Japanese international Takumi Minamino in January. He can play wide or in midfield.

Werner has also been followed by Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea, although according to The Mirror Chelsea will focus their efforts on either Inter's Lautaro Martinez or Lyon's Moussa Dembele.

The statistics posted by Werner this season have been impressive. In 21 Bundesliga games, he's bagged 20 goals, as well as setting up six more. In the Champions League, he's scored three times.

He is a versatile attacker who can play on either flank or, preferably, through the middle. He's quick and dynamic.
