Kai Havertz has decided to join Chelsea, according to German portal Kicker. The Bayern Leverkusen playmaker will come to Frank Lampard's side in the summer, one of the most exciting projects in the world for next season.
Havertz was wanted by Bayern Munich too, but Leroy Sane's signing for the Bavarians has closed the doors to Havertz. Man City and Rael Madrid liked him too, along with Barca, but Chelsea were quickest and have convinced the player. Timo Werner and Ziyech are other impressive arrivals for next season. Havertz will get a big pay rise.
He's valued at 81 million euros but the transfer fee is said to be around 65 million, a big figure for the German club to acquire in Covid times.
