Haaland edges closer to Man City as agreement in principle struck
The Borussia Dortmund striker is set to move to the Premier League leaders
Erling Haaland's move to Manchester City could be confirmed as soon as this month, Per reports coming from England, the English club have reached an agreement with the Borussia Dortmund striker's camp over personal terms.
According to the Daily Mail, Haaland will become the best-paid player in the Premier League, earning more than 500,000 pounds per week in Manchester.
The agreement has apparently been sealed between the player and the club, per the cited information, and City plan to activate the Norway star's release clause, though to be around 63 million pounds, in the coming weeks.
Everything suggests Haaland will sign a five-year deal at the Etihad, with his salary dwarfing City's current top earner -- Kevin de Bruyne, who pockets 385,000 pounds weekly.
However, it's not all about money. Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, also played for City and he has played a key role in the negotiations which look set to see his son move to England, where he was born.
Barcelona and Real Madrid had also been keen on signing the Dortmund frontman.
