Gini Wijnaldum says goodbye to Liverpool after 'emotional rollercoaster'
The Dutchman is off and he may be coming to a Camp Nou near you
Georginio Wijnaldum has shown his gratitude for messages from Liverpool fans over the past few days. The Dutchman is leaving Anfield after some successful years there.
“What an emotional rollercoaster the last few days. I’ve received so many great messages from fans, players and friends all over the world. Thank you all so much,” said Wijnaldum on Twitter.
The former Newcastle player was in action for 77 minutes in his last performance for the Reds as they beat Crystal Palace to seal a Champions League place for next season.
Wiji played 237 games, scoring 22 goals and providing 16 assists in five seasons with Liverpool.
