The English side are willing to pay the stopper's €100m buyout clause as they look to offset the loss of Courtois to Real Madrid

Chelsea are willing to throw all their money at Jan Oblak as they look to replace Real Madrid bound Thibaut Courtois. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea want a substitute in place before they let Courtois leave. They've decided that Atletico Madrid's keeper, Oblak, is the best man to do that.

The London club are willing to bypass negotiations with Diego Simeone's team and deposit the €100m buyout clause with the league.

Chelsea know they'll need to spend big following other goalkeeper moves in the transfer market this summer. They were interested in Roma's Alisson but he opted for Liverpool in a record deal for a keeper.

Oblak is first choice - and remember, he did replace Courtois at Atletico Madrid - but there's also interest in Trapp (PSG) and Pepe Reina (Milan).
