Chelsea are tired of waiting for Luis Enrique
The Blues are losing patience with the former Barca boss and Massimiliano Allegri is the new first option
Chelsea have lost patience with Luis Enrique. The English team wants to sack Antonio Conte but cannot axe him until they get a commitment from his replacement. After months of waiting for the former Barcelona boss, now it seems Juventus' Massimiliano Allegri is in pole position instead.
They tried to get Allegri in 2016, ahead of Conte, but he rejected the offer as he did not want to leave Juve or Italy. However now he is willing to move.
Marina Granovskaia had a deal practically sealed for Juliano Belletti to work as sporting director alongside Luis Enrique. The indecision of the Spanish coach could owe to a sudden interest from PSG who do not want Unai Emery next season. Arsenal, who probably put Wenger out to pasture at the end of the season, have also made an offer for him but it seems he rejected it.
Allegri is open to coming though. "Certainly I would go to another country. In Italy, it's all finished."
