Carlo Ancelotti takes over at Everton
The Italian has been appointed on a 4.5 year deal at Goodison
Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed by Everton as coach on a 4.5 year deal, taking over from interim coach Duncan Ferguson.
Sacked by Napoli earlier this month, Ancelotti, now 60, spoke about his appointment.
"There's a clear vision from the owner to deliver success," said Ancelotti.
"This is a great club with a rich history and a very passionate fanbase," added former AC Milan, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris St-Germain boss Ancelotti.

"There is a clear vision from the owner and the board to deliver trophies. That is something that appeals to me as a manager.
"I am thrilled at the prospect of being able to work with everybody at the club to help make that vision a reality."
The first game for Ancelotti will be against Burnley on December 26. He was at Goodison Park on Saturday to watch his new club play Arsenal - who will be managed by Mikel Arteta, also at the game.
