Paris Saint-Germain will compete with Barcelona for Sergiño Dest. Weeks after Barça's interest emerged in the young Ajax right-back, reports in France said PSG are also keen on the United States international.
Sporting director Leonardo is building a squad for next season and Thomas Meunier will not be part of it, so he must find another right-back.
According to France Football, PSG estimate that Dest would cost around 20 million euros, an amount one of Europe's most powerful clubs financially could afford.
The coronavirus crisis will force PSG to be a little more prudent, especially as they have already signed Mauro Icardi for 60 million euros, and Leonardo feels Dest would be a good option at a relatively cheap price.
We have to remember that Barça have also shown an interest in Dest, while Bayern Munich were leading the chase for the U.S defender before the pandemic.
Barça are looking to sell Nelson Semedo and Dest would represent a low-cost alternative.
