Barça & Juve won't do exchange deal for defender Mbuyamba
The Dutchman and Juventus' Kaly Sené could have been part of a swap deal
While talks between Barcelona and Juventus focus on Arthur Melo, Nelson Semedo, Miralem Pjanic and De Sciglio, the clubs are also talking about other, younger players, too.
Barça's Dutch defender Xavier Mbuyamba and Juve's Senegal striker Kaly Sené were set to be involved as part of a player exchange deal, but Mbuyamba will leave Camp Nou in June and won't have his contract renewed, so other alternatives are being discussed.
Mbuyamba's agent has been told by Barça that the centre-back won't continue at the club despite having a contract until 2023. He has done well for the U19s and lots of teams are interested in him. Chelsea, Inter, AZ Alkmaar and even Real Madrid have been linked.
He has trained with Barça's first team but there wasn't space for him in the B team next season, with Juve also among the teams interested in him.
Barça had put Mbuyamba's name on the table as part of a swap deal for Kaly Sene, the Senegal forward who can play wide or through the middle.
This season, in the UEFA Youth League, the league and the cup, Kaly Sene has played 28 times, scoring nine goals and setting up four more. He has a deal until 2022.
