The Blagurana beat Betis 5-2 in an entertaining clash at Campers

It's November and there's a long way to go, but Barcelona's bad run in the league was ended with a 5-2 win over Real Betis. Koeman changed the team, surprisingly benching Leo Messi. The Argentine supposedly needed a rest for lack of freshness and the coach believed in the young attacking players at his disposal. The experiment half worked. While Barca had danger up front, they ended up level at half time with some horrific defending.

Against the ropes, Koeman tossed Messi in. He scored two and brilliantly dummied for Griezmann's goal. The presence of the Argentine would be enough if it wasn't for the lack of control the team has. Even with 10 men Betis took advantage of the motorway on Barca's right hand side to charge in and score.

But in the end the points were for Barca and they hit five. A bit deceiving, the scoreline. This was Messi's win and it means Barca can continue in the title fight. They have to improve, to get more aggressive in defence, if they want to win titles.
