OFFICIAL: English youngster Louie Barry signs for Barcelona
The young striker will form part of the Juvenil A side next season after leaving WBA
Barça have confirmed the signing of one of Europe's most promising youngsters. Louie Barry, 16, is an English striker who has been on the radar of most European sides for a couple of years now. He's penned a three year deal and will play for Juvenil A next season.
Barry is a U16 international for England and has scored seven goals in his nine appearances. He was at West Bromwich Albion for six years until his contract expired this summer.
There was a moment when Barça thought the youngster would sign for PSG. He travelled to Paris and even underwent a medical before Barça firmed up their interest with an official offer.
Barry is eligible for both England and Northern Island and plays primarily as a striker but is capable of playing off the right wing.
