The U.S forward starred in the final on Sunday to crown an impressive tournament

The United States forward Megan Rapinoe, Player of the Match in the World Cup final on 2019, also walked away as the tournament's top scorer and with the Player of the Tournament trophy.

The Seattle Reign player was the star of the U.S' fourth World Cup triumph on and off the pitch. She contributed to her team's success with six goals -- one in the final against the Netherlands -- which saw her win the Golden Boot.

Teammate Alex Morgan and England forward Ellen White also scored six goals each, but they came second and third due to having fewer assists than Rapinoe.

Rapinoe, whose goal in the final at 34 years and two days old makes her the oldest scorer in a final, was also named as the Player of the Tournament in France. She won the prize ahead of England's Lucy Bronze and teammate Rose Lavelle, who also scored in the final.

Dutch goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal, meanwhile, won the prize for the competition's best stopper.
