Mossos say Barca-Madrid Clasico security is guaranteed

The game should be played, say the Catalan police force

Toni Castejón, spokesman for the FEPOL union of the Mossos d'Esquadra, spoke last night on the program 'El Larguero' on Cadena SER about the possible postponement of the Clasico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“Today, the security of Barcelona-Real Madrid can be guaranteed (...). My opinion is that the game must be played, the violent people should not stop more things than they already stop in this country," he said.

In addition, Castejón spoke about the police mobilization that is needed for a match of this magnitude to guarantee security: "For a game like this I would say that they could work with 1,000 officers.”

The last word, however, on the postponement of the match between the Barcelona team and the Madrid player will be down to the Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, who will first hear the arguments that the two clubs may present in this regard.
