The midfielder has done well since his summer switch from Barcelona

Riqui Puig has continued to take MLS by storm and has matched a record.

The Catalan midfielder left Barcelona for LA Galaxy in the summer and he is thriving there. He’s a key player for his team and got three assists in a game, equalling a record from David Beckham and Landon Donovan.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard, Pirlo, Chicharito, Thierry Henry, David Villa and Beckham are some of the names who have played there as the north American league tries to improve its status in the eyes of the world.

All of them, bar Beckham, had not managed to provide six assists in five games, which RIqui Puig has done. Three came in the 4-1 win over Colorado this weekend, equalling what Donovan did in 2014 and Beckham did in 2008.

At 23, Riqui is making waves on another continent. He is finding his best form and showing the potential he has always had.
