Former Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig "gets bored" in Los Angeles
The ex-Barça man joined LA Galaxy last summer, turning down European offers
Riqui Puig surprised many last summer when he decided to leave FC Barcelona for Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy.
A new life in a new league, culture and city, which seems not to be smelling of roses. According to the journalist Rut Vilar on the 'Tot Costa' program on Catalunya Radio, "Riqui Puig is bored in Los Angeles."
The statement came after a debate about Sergio Busquets' alleged rejection of a €20 million offer to sign for Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, due to the adaptation process in Saudi Arabia, which then saw Riqui Puig come up.
"Los Angeles and Miami are not pleasant cities to live in," the journalist said. "Everything is by car, there is no nucleus. When you are used to doing a lot in the city, as is the case with Riqui Puig, for example, it is not the same in Los Angeles or Miami as it is in New York."
On a sporting level, Riqui is the greatest exponent of an LA Galaxy side that wants to sneak back among the best in Major League Soccer.
The Los Angeles team starts preseason at the end of this month. During the break, Riqui has been seen around Barcelona, going, for example, to see his friend Gerard Piqué at his new Kings League project.
