TMW: Antoine Griezmann won't be sold as part of Barça's rebuild
The French forward won't be sold in order to fund other moves this summer
After a less than impressive debut campaign for FC Barcelona, Antoine Griezmann is ready to turn things around next season. Following the arrival of Ronald Koeman, who views Griezmann as someone who must play down the middle, there's reason to be optimistic about his future at the Camp Nou.
Griezmann has been squeezed into a team, often playing in an unfavoured wide role, by both Valverde and Setien this season. The club's president Bartomeu recently declared the Frenchman as 'non-transferable' and Koeman has admitted he won't be using Griezmann on the wing. This gives him another chance to prove himself.
According to 'TMW', Griezmann won't be sold this summer. Despite Barça's need to raise funds, and those they want to move on not receiving many offers, they won't cash in on their big money signing from last year. "Griezmann isn't a traditional winger. For that reason, he must play in his position in a role that displays his qualities. As a coach, you have to get to know your players in order the most out of them in every game," is what Koeman said.
