Setien: "Lautaro Martinez? Who would not want to play with Messi?"
The Barcelona coach spoke about the Inter striker to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'
FC Barcelona coach Quique Setien has praised Lautaro Martinez, the Inter Milan forward who the Catalan club want to sign this summer.
In an interview published in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday, Setien said the young Argentine "is a great player" and when asked about the striker's intentions, he added: "Who would not want to play with (Leo) Messi?"
As is usual, everything that is important at Barça is related to Messi and Setien was asked if the captain has given his opinion in regards to his international teammate.
"If Messi likes (Lautaro)? You would have to ask him. All the good players can provoke interest from Barça. In the same way that it is for many players, playing with Messi is a huge incentive," the coach said.
"All good players could attract interest from Barcelona. In addition, it's the fact that for many to play with Leo represented a massive incentive."
Inter will not make it easy for Lautaro to leave. He has a 111 million euro release clause in the first two weeks of July, although Barça won't pay that much, especially considering the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
