The agent has been in touch with Los Blancos about a possible deal

The football agent Mino Raiola, who works with players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, is in talks with Real Madrid over the future of goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, who is on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

Taking advantage of those discussions, Raiola has floated the possibility of Madrid signing the Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt, another of his clients, according to Defensa Central.

Raiola is reported to be looking for a new club for De Ligt, who has not adapted to life at Juventus, who he joined last summer from Ajax.

The centre-back is one of the players on Madrid's shortlist as they look for a long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos, who is entering the twilight years of his career.

As for Areola, who is due to return to Paris in the summer, an extended stay at Madrid has not been ruled out. While he's not playing often -- he is back up to Courtois -- he is happy at the club and Los Blancos are satisfied with his performances when he's played and his attitude in training.
