The Brazilian centre back, now at Sassuolo, hasn't given up on a Camp Nou return

Former FC Barcelona defender, Marlon Santos, who is now at Sassuolo, hasn't given up hope of one day returning to the Camp Nou. The Brazilian spoke to Esports COPE and admitted that it was "always a pleasure" to represent Barça.

"It's a dream - and objective - for me, but my mind is focused on finishing the season with Sassuolo and then we'll see what happens," confessed Marlon.

The defender also spoke about Barça's opponents in the Champions League, Napoli, from his experience against the Serie A side. "They are a great team but Barça are favourites. Barça must be careful though because Napoli have a lot of dangerous players, especially in attack, like Milik and Mertens."

However, there's always one element which means Barça have the edge. "But Barça have the best player in the world and I think they'll go through."

Barça maintain the option to buy-back Marlon for just €6m if he completes 50 matches for Sassuolo. At the moment, he hasn't quite reached that number. Barça also retain 50% of any future sale.

Marlon have played 41 matches for Sassuolo. He featured 27 times for Barça B and made three appearances for the senior side.
