With Sergio Aguero's injury problems harming City's hopes in the Champions League, they could now turn to Lautaro

Manchester City are ready to join the bidding war for Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez this season. After losing in the Europa League final to Sevilla, now is the time for the Argentine striker to decide whether he wants a fresh challenge at one of Europe's biggest teams. Barcelona haven't hidden their desire to bring the forward to the Camp Nou and now Pep Guardiola's side are hopeful of luring him to England.

According to the 'Mail', City will offer €90m for the 22-year-old Lautaro. He's scored 30 goals in Serie A and that's made a lot of Europe's elite sides take notice. Barça want the striker to replace Luis Suarez whereas Pep sees Lautaro as the ideal long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero.

However, Lautaro isn't City's first choice. Apparently Harry Kane is top of their wish list but they know Tottenham won't sell their star man this summer. Whilst Barça search for ways to fund a move for Lautaro, City could wrap up a deal and leave Bartomau scratching his head.
