Ajax's decision to start key players Onana and Van de Beek on the bench has reignited the speculation surrounding both players' futures. In fact, both players have recently been linked with moves to the Camp Nou, van de Beek in particular, and it was the midfielder who made an impact when he came off the bench in the second half.
Ajax took the lead through Gravenberch before Koita equalised for RB Salzburg. Matheus dos Santos made it 2-1 to the Dutch side before the break.
Van de Beek came on and immediately Ajax took control of the game. He scored his side's third goal to kill off the contest and no doubt impress any onlooking scouts. Rensch added a fourth late on.
