AC Milan have joined the race to sign Adrien Rabiot and have made a last ditch offer to tempt the midfielder to swap Paris for Milan. According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Milan's director of football Leonardo spoke with Rabiot's mother and agent, Veronique, about a deal.
Leonardo, who up until a couple of months ago was held the same position at PSG, spoke to the player's agent by telephone to let her know his offer. Rabiot, according to the outlet, admires the project being built at Milan.
However the player is expected to meet with PSG chiefs and their contract is expected to be too good to turn down. Al Khelaifi has handed Rabiot a fantastic deal as he looks to ward off interest from Barça and now Milan.
Milan, who have signed Gonzalo Higuain and centre back Mattia Caldara, both from Juventus, are searching for a midfielder to complete their team for next season. However it'll take an incredible effort from Leonardo to convince Rabiot to leave PSG and, if he does, to then choose Milan over Barcelona.
