Manchester City thump Watford to win FA Cup and seal domestic treble

Pep Guardiola's side have cleaned up in England this season

Guardiola again. At Wembley again. Another Manchester City exhibition in England. Guardiola and City sealed a fourth title this season as they made history by beating Watford 6-0 in the FA Cup final on Saturday. No one had previously won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the League Cup in the same season. No one can compete with this City side domestically, who also won the Community Shield. No one plays like this City side.

Guardiola was back at Wembley. The ground where he won his first European Cup as a player. The stadium where he won one of his Champions Leagues as a coach. The English temple bows to him. He's playing at home.

City were even able to leave the likes of De Bruyne and aguero on the bench as they steamrolled Watford. In came Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus but the result was the same. The idea was the same, too: possession. Watford started well and for 30 minutes were in the game but was David Silva opened the scoring the game was over. Raheem Sterling made it two before the break and City were gone.

De Bruyne came on to make it three and Jesus added the fourth in the 78th minute. All that was left was for Sterling to complete a memorable season with a hat-trick in the cup final. He scored twice in the final 10 minutes to make it six as Guardiola's side made light work of Watford. Four trophies for the season. Just one missing: the Champions League. They will go again next year.
