Mallorca pay a monthly wage and the rent of a young star, Luka Romero Bezzana, who was born in Durango (México), plays for Argentina's youth teams and is now residing on the Balaeric Island. They call him the "Mexican Messi" due to his style of play and his similar physique to the Barcelona star.

Romero, whose value has gone through the rood since coach Vicente Moreno called him up for training ahead of the visit of Barcelona on June 13, does not have a professional contract with Mallorca.

He is still 15 and will have to wait until November, when he turns 16, for his representatives to be able to negotiate a new deal, which will also include a release clause.

At that age, he will also have to decide which national team to represent if he is called up. He has three nationalities and is eligible for Argentina, Mexico or Spain.

Mallorca will try to tie the player down with the belief that he has a big future ahead of him, as proven with the club's youth teams and with Argentina in the Sudamericano Championships in Paraguay last year.

Sources close to the club have admitted to EFE that it will be "complicated" to keep hold of a player of Romero's qualities if some of Spain's -- or Europe's -- biggest clubs show an interest in him.
