The weeks and the game pass, but Gerard Pique's presence in the Spain squad continues to annoy many. There was no exception at La Rosaleda on Saturday, where Malaga's ground played host to La Roja against Costa Rica, with Pique jeered once again.
Already in the open training session on Friday there had been whistles for Pique, although nothing compared to what happened when the teams were read out. When the No.3 was announced, the supporters changes the applause for whistles, taking the noise levels up. In addition, the frosty reception continued in the early minutes of the match when Pique touched the ball.
However, something changed in the seventh minute. One part of the stadium began to sign his name, accompanied with applause. There were still some whistles, though, as the Barcelona man continues to divide opinion.
