PSG end their transfer window by signing Choupo-Moting from Stoke City
The French champions made a curious move for a player from the Championship
PSG confirmed the arrival of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, 29, who signed a two year contract until June 30, 2020.
"I feel extremely honoured in joining a top European club," said the forward. "I thank the directors and the coach who believed in me and I will work hard to give the maximum on the pitch, day in day out."
The former Schalke 04 player was brought in by German coach Thomas Tuchel to help main striker Edinson Cavani. Tuchel worked with Choupo-Moting between 2011-14 in Mainz.
"He's a player who has a lot of experience, in Germany and with Cameroon, two countries which are solid references in international football," said president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
