The midfielder links up again with former team-mate and current coach Thierry Henry

Monaco have finally confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas after rumours about his future were spoken off all through the Christmas period. His era at Stamford Bridge has come to an end and the former Barca player joins Thierry Henry in the principality.

The club announced the transfer with a video of Fabregas pretending to be a watchmaker.

Cess joins with Monaco 19th and in grave danger of relegation. His job is to help move them to safety…

Monaco get Cesc on what is initially a free transfer but could see them pay Chelsea up to 11 million euros depending on clauses relating to his and the team’s performance.

“We thank Cesc for his wonderful service and wish him the very best of luck for the next chapter in what has been a fantastic career,” said Chelsea in a statement.
