It was a huge move. Neymar decided to leave Barcelona last sumer for Paris Saint-Germain in a world record deal worth 222 million euros.

Once the deal was confirmed, Ney's new life began away from Catalonia. Paris opened its doors to one of the stars of the football world and he because PSG supporters' new idol.

But there are other players at the Ligue 1 club, other legends who have grown there in recent years, such as Edinson Cavani. There has been a clash of egos.

Despite that, Unai Emery's side have still performed well in the league and in Europe.

But not all has been well. The first problem was the famous moment against Bordeaux, on Sept. 30. There was a dispute between Neymar and Cavani (with Dani Alves involved) over who takes penalties and free kicks.

Cruiosuly, after that, things cooled down for a few months, until another penalty brought tensions bubbling to the surface again, in the dressing room and with the fans.

Winning 7-0 against Dijon, Cavani won a penalty. He had alreayd scored his 156th goal for the club and was one away from breaking Zlatan Ibrahimovic's record, having just equalled it.

But Neymar appeared and decided he would take the penalty. The fans didn't like the move and jeered the Brazilian's decision. Since then, he has not played again (muscles problems against Lyon and Guingamp).

According to L'Equipe, those jeers provoked a reaction and a point of reflection among Neymar and his people. It seems they are regretting the decision to leave FC Barcelona.

Neymar finds the French league too raw and defensive and the referees too permissive with defenders. During a visit to Brazil in December, he visited some old friends in Santos and confessed as much.

The alarm bells are ringing at the French club, given the bet and the investment the Qataris have made on the 'Neymar product'.

The Brazilian has taken the club to another level, on a sporting level but above all commercially.

At the club, they insist that Ney didn't know that Cavani was a goal away from becoming PSG's all-time record goalscorer.

Whatever went on, what is true is that Neymar is supposedly pondering leaving the club this summer. It would be a huge operation, like the one last summer, but the idea is on the table. And Real Madrid are on the radar...
