Neymar explains his relationship with Tuchel, Mbappe and Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar says he's back to his best after an injury ruled him out of the end of last season and hampered his performances at the World Cup with Brazil in the summer. 

"I feel 100 percent," he said in an interview with PSG's official website, before explaining that he's playing with more freedom this season. 

He added: "I have more freedom to get closer to the forwards but, at the same time, I'm able to be in a position which I know well, so I feel really good." 

On his current coach, Thomas Tuchel, he said the German is "very reserved but very demanding" and that he treats the players well "but also knows how to give a clip round the ear when necessary." 

Neymar was also asked about PSG's other stars, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani. 

"We're really happy to understand each other better in every game," he said. "The objective is that we all feel good at the end of the game, although the most important thing is that the team wins." 

PSG only scraped through in the Champions League thanks to a win over Liverpool in their fifth group game, which set up a last 16 meeting with Manchester United. 

"It was a complicated situation," Neymar admitted. "The team managed to get through it, though, playing well and winning. Something happened that night. It's good for the rest of the season. 

"We could have been knocked out, I was able to recover [from an injury] quicker than expected to play [vs. Liverpool]. I wasn't 100 percent, everyone knew that, but it was a calculated risk which had to be taken. 

"We know the quality Manchester United have now, with players that are winners."
