Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has admitted for the first time that Neymar could leave the club after Unai Emery's side's latest debacle in the Champions League.
Marquinhos, stung from the elimination to Real Madrid on Tuesday, said after the game that he had personally asked Neymar not to leave the club.
"I ask Neymar to stay," he said. "I ask him to stay. It's the moment to let the group we have grow as a team, to have moew power in these type of games.
"For us, Neymar is an important player. It's important that he's confident in our project, in out players, in our team. Now we need to manage this disappointment and recover, as we did last season after losing to Barcelona."
Neymar may not play for PSG again after breaking a bone in his foot against Marseille. He missed the second leg against Madrid after going surgery back in Brazil last weekend.
