The right-back has confirmed he will leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer

Dani Alves starred in Brazil's Copa America win over Peru on Saturday an d then announced that he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer after the game. 

The former Barcelona right-back revealed that he's leaving the French club after two seasons in Paris via a post on his Instagram account. 

"Another cycle in my life ends, a winning cycle, full of learning and experience," he wrote. "I would like to thank the PSG family for the chance to create a page in the club's history alongside them." 

Alves has a contract with PSG until the end of June and has decided to reject an offer for an additional year. 

"I would like to thank everyone, above all everyone who works at the club for their affection, their respect and for the treatment towards me from day one. You make the club even more special," he added. 

Alves was a key part of the team while he was there, playing more than 70 games as they won two league titles but came up short in the Champions League. 

"It has been two years of resilience and being able to reinvent myself continually to fulfil my mission. Because lift has a beginning, a middle and an end. Today it's the moment for me to end my time here," he continued.  

The Brazilian right-back has not revealed what will come next in his career, with his focus now exclusively on the Copa America.
