The French club's president admitted that he went to the Bernabeu to watch FC Barcelona in action

Lyon's players and president have declared on various occasions that they are confident and very motivated for the upcoming match in the Champions League. The French club see this as a chance for them to achieve something unique in their history. Jean-Michel Aulas, Lyon's president, admitted he was at the Bernabeu to watch Barça beat Real Madrid.

"We went to see Barça play in their recent victory over Madrid. Barça have very dangerous attackers, a little like Lyon, but Lyon is obviously a level below," confessed Aulas. "Barça set the bar very high but Lyon just want to show they exist. Even if we have a 1000/1 chance, we'll give everything against Barcelona, just as we did against Manchester City. It's a chance to create a moment of history, so it's worth giving our all."

Lyon will look to advance to the quarter finals of the Champions League after drawing 0-0 at home. If they get on the scoresheet at the Camp Nou, they'll hold a crucial advantage.
