Le Parisien name the date they believe Neymar will return to Barça

PSG have done everything in their power to stop Neymar from leaving the club in the last couple of years. Yet it appears now the tide is turning in favour of the Brazilian and he could finally force a transfer back to FC Barcelona.

According to 'Le Parisien', Neymar won't be allowed to leave this summer. Barça's financial situation means they are unable to offer a deal which would satisfy PSG.

"Nothing suggests he won't be here next season," PSG's director of football Leonardo said. "He's got two years left on his contract and we're looking towards the future. We want to move forward."

However that might change next summer. Neymar's deal runs out in 2022 which means next year would be the last time they could get a transfer fee for the Brazilian star. After shelling out €222m for Neymar, they wouldn't want to lose him on a free transfer.

This is why 'Le Parisien' believe it's much more likely that Barça and PSG could reach an agreement in 2021. It'll be for a much lower fee than they've asked for in the previous transfer windows and it would allow the French club to recover some of their initial outlay.

"We haven't had the chance to talk about anything," Neymar's entourage told 'Le Parisien' in regards to talks over a new contract. Unless he does pen a new deal, it's hard to see the samba star remaining at the club beyond next season.
