Manuel Pellegrini's team secured an away victory and three points against Granada on Monday

Real Betis enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes on Monday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Granada were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Rayo Vallecano. Betis, on the other hand, had lost their previous match against R Madrid. As things stand, Granada are currently 17th with 2 points from 4 matches, while Betis sit in 9th, with 5 points from 4.

Betis started the first half well, thanks to Rodri giving The Green-and-Whites the lead just before half-time to see out the first half 0-1.

Granada took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Luis Suarez at the 66 minute mark. Betis in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Sergio Canales and seeing the game end 2-1.

For Granada, Luis Abram, Carlos Bacca, Ruben Rochina, Yan Eteki and Jorge Molina, came on for German Sanchez, Alberto Soro, Darwin Machis, Monchu and Luis Suarez. Betis brought on German Pezzella, Willian Jose, Victor Camarasa, Sergio Canales and Joaquin, to replace Marc Bartra, Borja Iglesias, Nabil Fekir, William Carvalho and Rodri.

There were bookings for Maxime Gonalons from Granada. For Betis, Borja Iglesias and Nabil Fekir saw yellow.

Granada will next play Barcelona away, with Betis facing Espanyol at home.
