Visitors secure victory as Barca beat Eibar 1-0
The season concludes for Eibar with a disappointing loss against Barcelona
Barcelona beats Eibar 1-0 on Saturday at Ipurua Municipal Stadium. Both Eibar and Barca arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Eibar were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Valencia. Barca lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Celta Vigo. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the LaLiga season, Eibar and Barca sit 20th (30 points) and 3rd (79 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 38 matches.
After a goalless first half, Barca continued to apply pressure in the second, with Antoine Griezmann giving Los Blaugranas the lead in the 81st minute. The game ended with a 1-0 win for Barca.
For Eibar, Pedro Leon, Sergio Alvarez, Alejandro Pozo, Pedro Bigas and Quique, came on for Bryan Salvatierra, Pape Diop, Roberto Correa, Paulo Oliveira and Sergi Enrich. Barca replaced Martin Braithwaite, Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti, Riqui Puig and Miralem Pjanic with Trincao, Oscar Mingueza, Junior Firpo, Moriba Ilaix and Frenkie De Jong.
The referee booked three players from Barca, Junior Firpo, Sergio Busquets and Ronald Araujo.
