Villarreal 2-1 Levante: Gerard Moreno & Moi Gomez net in derby win
Levante suffered an away defeat against Villarreal at Estadio de La Ceramica on Saturday. Villarreal faced the encounter with a desire to add more points to their locker after a draw against Real Valladolid (1-1) while Levante won 2-0 the last league match against Leganés. At the moment, Villarreal and Levante occupy position 6th (38 points) and 11th (29 points) respectively after playing a total of 24 matches.
Excellent start from Villarreal, thanks to a goal from Gerard Moreno in the 9th minute, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-0.
Levante boosted the game in the second half, with a goal from Borja Mayoral in the 56th minute. Villarreal took the lead thanks to a goal from Moi Gomez 61 minutes in the game to establish the 2-1, finalising the game with a 2-1.
As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Villarreal, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Samuel Chukwueze and Pau Torres came on for Vicente Iborra, Paco Alcacer and Santi Cazorla, while Levante brought on Jose Luis Morales, Sergio Leon and Tono to replace Borja Mayoral, Nikola Vukcevic and Carlos Clerc.
The referee booked Vicente Iborra, Manu Trigueros and Ruben Pena from Villarreal, while for Levante Sergio Postigo saw a yellow card as well.
Villarreal will play against Atlético Madrid at away stadium, while Levante will face Real Madrid at home stadium.
