Victory over Eibar on Thursday, leaves Diego Martinez’s team with 42 points in the competition after 33 games

On Thursday, Eibar suffer an away defeat to Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. Granada were looking to continue their run, following a 2-1 victory against Real Valladolid. Eibar were beaten 5-0 in the previous match against Atletico Madrid. After today's result, Granada are in 8th place on the table and has 42 points while Eibar sit in 20th with 23 points after 31 matches.

Nasrids started the first half well, with Roberto Soldado opening the rout, 21 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Antonio Puertas, 37 minutes in, finishing the first half 2-0.

The Gunsmiths took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Kike, 64 minutes in. However, Granada increased their lead following another Roberto Soldado goal in the 77th minute to make it 3-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Robert Kenedy, 81 minutes in to make it 4-1.

For Granada, Maxime Gonalons, Victor Diaz, Robert Kenedy, Carlos Neva and Nehuen Perez, came on for Rafa Soares, Sergio Alvarez, Pape Diop, Bryan Salvatierra and Kike. Eibar brought on Pedro Leon, Jose Angel, Quique, Unai Arieta and Kevin Rodrigues, to replace Rafa Soares, Sergio Alvarez, Pape Diop, Bryan Salvatierra and Kike.

There were bookings for Jorge Molina from Granada. For Eibar, Recio saw yellow.

Granada will next travel to Seville, while Eibar will face Alaves at home.
