Valencia midfielder Kondogbia sidelined for eight weeks
Los Che have a mounting injury list and will now be without Kondogbia as well
Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia will be out for eight weeks. The Frenchman injured the tendon in his leg in the Champions League game against Manchester United and the club have now confirmed how long he will be sidelined for.
"Valencia CF player Geoffrey Kondogbia presents an injury in the ischium of his left leg, according to the tests carried out Monday morning," a short statement read. "The estimated recovery time is approximately eight weeks. Pending evolution."
The injury to Kondogbia, added to Coquelin's, leaves Valencia coach Marcelino short in midfield. He needs points and he's already without star player Guedes, too, who's set for a long period of time on the sidelines.
Los Che are currently 14th in La Liga with 19 points from their 16 games. They have drawn 10 of those games, winning three and losing just three. They were knocked out of the Champions League but dropped into the Europa League after finishing third in their grop.
