Valencia earned hard-fought win over Real 0-1 at Reale Arena

Real Sociedad suffered a home defeat against Valencia at Reale Arena on Tuesday. Real Sociedad arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after winning away by a 0-3 victory against Elche while Valencia had to settle for a draw in the last match played of the competition. Following today's result, Real Sociedad is 4th on the table and has 5 points while Valencia is 1st with 7 points after 4 matches.

There were no goals during the first half and the first part ended 0-0.

Valencia boosted the game in the second half, thanks to a goal from Maxi Gomez 75 minutes in the game, and the game ended 0-1.

For Real Sociedad Mikel Oyarzabal, Portu, Ander Guevara, Roberto Lopez and Willian Jose came on for Ander Barrenetxea, David Silva, Martin Zubimendi, Adnan Januzaj and Alexander Isak, while Valencia brought on Kevin Gameiro, Lato Toni, Jason and Manu Vallejo to replace Kang In Lee, Alex Blanco, Yunus Musah and Maxi Gomez.

The referee booked Martin Zubimendi from Real, while for Valencia Geoffrey Kondogbia, Maxi Gomez, Daniel Wass, Jose Luis Gaya and Thierry Correia saw a yellow card as well.

Valencia and Real Sociedad will play at home stadium against Real Betis and Getafe respectively.
