Valencia went pass Alavés on a hard-earned victory of 2-1 on Saturday at Mestalla. The two teams arrived at this challenge after previous wins. Valencia arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after winning away by a 0-1 victory against Athletic while Alavés came from winning 2-0 against Mallorca in the last match played. As of today, Valencia is 8th in the LaLiga table with 12 points from 8 matches, while Alavés sits 15th with 8 points after 8 matches.

The first half started in favour of Valencia, thanks to a goal from Maxi Gómez 27 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-0.

Valencia boosted the game in the second half, with a goal from Dani Parejo in the 83rd minute. Alavés pull-back thanks to a goal from Lucas Pérez in the 89th minute just before the end of the second half to establish the 2-1, finalising the game with a 2-1.

At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Valencia, Manu Vallejo, Mouctar Diakhaby and Rubén Sobrino came on for Rodrigo Moreno, Ferrán Torres and Denis Cheryshev, while Alavés brought on Pere Pons, Aleix Vidal and Borja Sainz to replace Tomás Pina, Ximo Navarro and Rodrigo Ely.

The referee booked Daniel Wass from Valencia, while for Alavés Manu García, Rubén Duarte and Antonio Sivera saw a yellow card as well.

Valencia will play against Atlético de Madrid at away stadium, while Alavés will face Celta at home stadium.
