Los Nervionenses suffer defeat on the road, at the hands of Granada on Sunday

Seville fell to an away defeat at the hands of Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes on Sunday. Granada were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Celta Vigo whilst Seville were coming from consecutive wins against Espanyol and Valencia. Following today's result, Granada and Seville currently occupy 17th and 4th spots in the table, with 6 points and 14 points respectively after 8 matches.

Nasrids dominated the first half, thanks to Ruben Rochina finding the net, 25 minutes in to see out the first half 1-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Granada, Antonio Puertas, Sergio Escudero, German Sanchez, Ismael Ruiz Sánchez and Monchu, came on for Angel Montoro, Alberto Soro, Victor Diaz, Maxime Gonalons and Luis Milla. Seville brought on Munir El Haddadi, Papu Gomez, Jesus Navas, Oscar and Lucas Ocampos for Suso, Joan Jordan, Gonzalo Montiel, Erik Lamela and Ivan Rakitic.

The referee booked Maxime Gonalons, Quini and Luis Suarez from Granada. Seville had the worst of it though, with Diego Carlos, Marcos Acuna and Lucas Ocampos seeing yellow, and Diego Carlos (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Granada will next play Atletico Madrid at home, with Seville facing Celta Vigo away.
