Seville eased past Celta Vigo in a 4-3 victory on Monday at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos. Both Celta and Seville arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. However, their lead didn't last for long, Fernando producing an equaliser, 35 minutes in, bringing Seville level. However, The Sky Blues just before half-time found the back of the net via a Brais Mendez goal, finishing the first half 3-2.
Seville continued to pile on the pressure in the second, thanks to Ivan Rakitic finding the net in the 60th minute. However they weren't finished yet and Papu Gomez made it 4-3 at the 76 minute mark to make it 4-3.
