Julen Lopetegui's squad claimed a valuable home win and three points against Atletico Madrid on Sunday

Seville snatched all three points from Atletico Madrid in a 1-0 victory on Sunday, at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Seville wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Real Valladolid. Atletico had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Alaves. As the table looks today, Seville are in 4th place on the table and has 58 points while Atletico sit in 1st with 66 points after 29 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Seville piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Marcos Acuna at the 70 minute mark. The game ended with a 1-0 home victory.
