Victory over Cádiz on Saturday, leaves Julen Lopetegui’s team with 36 points in the competition after 20 games

Sevilla hammer Cádiz 3-0 on Saturday at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Sevilla were looking to continue their run, following a 2-1 victory against Alavés. Cádiz secured a point against Levante in their previous match. After today's result, Sevilla and Cádiz currently occupy 3rd and 9th spots in the league, with 36 points and 24 points respectively after 20 matches.

Sevilla started strongly in the first half, with Youssef En-Nesyri opening the rout in the 35th minute. Later, Sevilla took the lead with a goal form another goal from Youssef En-Nesyri, 39 minutes in, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

Sevilla continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, with a new goal from Youssef En-Nesyri, completing a hat trick, 62 minutes in. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 3-0.

For Sevilla, Nemanja Gudelj, Joan Jordan, Aleix Vidal, Munir El Haddadi and Oussama Idrissi came on for Salvi Sanchez, Jens Jonsson, Alvaro Negredo, Alex and Anthony Lozano, while Cádiz replaced Alberto Perea, Jairo Izquierdo, Garrido, Filip Malbasic and Manuel Nieto with Salvi Sanchez, Jens Jonsson, Alvaro Negredo, Alex and Anthony Lozano.
