Mallorca succumbed to an away defeat against Real at Reale Arena on Sunday. Real Sociedad wanted to improve their position in the tournament after losing 3-0 against Real Betis while Mallorca came from winning 4-1 against Valencia in the last match played. Following today's result, Real Sociedad is 6th in the LaLiga table with 34 points from 21 matches, while Mallorca sits 17th with 18 points after 21 matches.

Excellent start from Real Sociedad, with a goal from Alexander Isak just before the end of the 45 minutes, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-0.

Real Sociedad took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Fran Gamez 58 minutes in the game. Later, Real Sociedad scored once more and increased their lead 3-0 thanks to a goal from Portu 81 minutes in the game, finalising the game with a 3-0.

As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Real, Ander Barrenetxea, Ander Guevara and Adnan Januzaj came on for Mikel Oyarzabal, Mikel Merino and Alexander Isak, while Mallorca brought on Alejandro Pozo, Takefusa Kubo and Abdon to replace Aleix Febas, Lago Junior and Ante Budimir.

The referee booked Martin Valjent and Lumor for Mallorca.

Real Sociedad will play against Leganés at away stadium, while Mallorca will face Real Valladolid at home stadium.
