Valencia on Saturday lost to Real on an away defeat at Reale Arena. Real Sociedad arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after winning at home stadium by a 2-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao while Valencia had to settle for a draw in the last match played of the competition. As of today, Real Sociedad is 4th in the LaLiga table with 40 points from 25 matches, while Valencia sits 8th with 38 points after 25 matches.

An impressive opening from Real Sociedad, with a goal from Mikel Merino in the 12th minute. Later, Real Sociedad scored again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Nacho Monreal in the 45th minute just before the end of the 45 minutes, thereby seeing the first half to a 2-0.

Real Sociedad started the second half on an intensified spirit, thanks to a good early goal from Adnan Januzaj in the 48th minute, which saw the second half to a 3-0.

As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Real, Willian Jose, Luca Sangalli and Aihen Munoz came on for Adnan Januzaj, Alexander Isak and Mikel Oyarzabal, while Valencia brought on Hugo Guillamon, Kang In Lee and Ruben Sobrino to replace Eliaquim Mangala, Carlos Soler and Ferran Torres.

The referee booked Mikel Merino from Real, while for Valencia Jaume Costa saw a yellow card as well.
