An impressive opening from Celta, with a goal from Fedor Smolov 7 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 0-1.
The second half started favourably for Real Madrid, thanks to a goal from Toni Kroos 52 minutes in the game. Later, Real Madrid scored again thanks to a goal from Sergio Ramos 65 minutes in the game to establish the 2-1. Celta found an equaliser thanks to a goal from Santi Mina in the 86th minute just before the end of the second half to establish the 2-2, which saw the second half to a 2-2.
As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Real Madrid Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Ferland Mendy came on for Eden Hazard, Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale, while Celta brought on Pione Sisto, Denis Suarez and Santi Mina to replace Kevin Vazquez, Fedor Smolov and Filip Bradaric.
The referee booked Gareth Bale and Dani Carvajal from Madrid, while for Celta Lucas Olaza and Okay Yokuslu saw a yellow card as well.
Real Madrid will play against Levante at away stadium, while Celta will face Leganés at home stadium.
