Racist insults towards Vinicius in the derby revealed in report
The Real Madrid winger was the subject of abuse during Sunday's game
LaLiga is aware of the insults and expletives that were made during the derby between Atlético and Real Madrid, where all of the attention was focused on the figure of Vinicius. LaLiga has filed a report on the incidents to the country's Anti-Violence Commission.
The league recorded up to 24 incidents that have already been brought to the attention of the corresponding committees and commissions. Among them, the insults that Vinicius received before the meeting stand out. Here are some:
"-- At 19.25 hours, coinciding with the arrival of the Real Madrid bus at the stadium, around 500 home supporters chanted close to the players' entrance the following: "You're a monkey, Vinicius you are a monkey."
"-- In the 35th minute of the game, around 2000 home fans, located in sectors 127-133 of the bottom tier of the Fondo Sur, behind the goal, chanted in a coordinated manner for around 15 seconds: "The plague arrives, the Madrid player with those obvious horns arrives, the Madrid player, son of a bitch, the frente Atletico would enjoy his death, oe, oe, oe..."
"-- In the 42nd minute of the game, around 2000 home fans, located in sectors 127-133 of the bottom tier of the Fondo Sur, behind the goal, chanted in a coordinated manner for around 10 seconds: "Die, Vinicius."
"-- In the 79th minute of the game, coming from various fans and not organised, there was a chant of around 10 seconds of "Tonto, tonto (Idiot, idiot)" directed at visiting player Vinicius."
