Osasuna fight hard but Madrid triumph at El Sadar

Madrid staggered past Osasuna in a 1-4 victory on Sunday at Estadio El Sadar. Osasuna wanted to improve their position in the tournament after losing against Villarreal 3-1 while Real Madrid won in their last two matches of the competition against Atlético Madrid at home stadium, and Real Valladolid away, by 1-0 and 0-1 respectively. As of today, Osasuna is 12th in the LaLiga, having garnered 28 points from 23 matches, while Real Madrid sits at 1st with 52 points after playing a total of 23 matches.

 Osasuna started well in the first half, with a goal from Unai Garcia 14 minutes in the game. However, Real Madrid scored the equaliser 1-1 thanks to a goal from Isco 33 minutes in the game. Later, Real Madrid scored once more and turned the match 1-2 thanks to a goal from Sergio Ramos 38 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-2.

 Real Madrid boosted the game in the second half, thanks to a goal from Lucas Vazquez 84 minutes in the game. Later, Real Madrid scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Luka Jovic in the 90th minute just before the end of the second half, which saw the second half to a 1-4.

 At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Osasuna, Fran Merida, Enric Gallego and Marc Cardona came on for Jon Moncayola, Jose Manuel Arnaiz and Roberto Torres, while Madrid brought on Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Junior and Luka Jovic to replace Gareth Bale, Isco and Karim Benzema.

 The referee booked Nacho Vidal and David Garcia from Osasuna, while for Real Madrid Dani Carvajal and Sergio Ramos saw a yellow card as well.
