Next season's La Liga will start on August 15
Back to normal in terms of start and end times then, it seems
The board of the Spanish top flight have approved the 2021-22 calendar presented to the clubs and the AFE. A calendar that starts the league in the second weekend of August, the 14-15th. There could be a game moved to Friday 13th.
That means it is more or less back to normal after the delayed start to this season because of Covid-19.
The season will end May 21-22 in 2022, more or less at the same time this season ends. The date is conditioned by the Champions League final, which is on May 28, in Saint Petersburg, at least for now.
There is not much time off before Christmas, with the 22nd and 23rd of December having matches on. There could be matches on Jan 2.
Now this has to be taken to the RFEF for them to agree on the calendar.
